Your care - tell us what you think

This message board is here so that you can let us have your comments, ideas and suggestions about the care you or your partner have received during pregnancy, labour or in the early weeks with your new baby. It would be helpful to us if when you post your message, you tell us when your experience dates from.

The board is public, so by posting here, you’ll be sharing what you have to say with everyone who looks at it. However, if you’d like to make some comments in confidence, you can do so by clicking the box marked ‘private’ below. Confidential comments are seen only by the MSLC’s user members (non health professionals).

Please note that the board isn’t for making complaints. If you want to complain about an aspect of your care, speak to your midwife, GP or health visitor, or ring the Rosie (01223 245151) and ask to speak to a Supervisor of Midwives. You can also contact PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service).

Sorry, but we're not able to reply to messages posted here.

Messages are left on this page for three months.

The maternity care I recieved at Addenbrookes (Rosie MLBU) was absolutely excellent. The midwives who helped me through labour and who delivered my baby (Villa, Nicola, Jacky and Kath) were absolutely EXCELLENT. They worked sooooo hard, ... view full version

My ante-natal care was varied - I had one midwife until about 24 weeks who was great, then it all changed and I was assigned to the Ivy Team. I never actually met any of them as they were always busy and so I saw various stand-ins. They ... view full version

I was very lucky to have the same midwife (Trish) from 25 weeks - I chose to go to her drop-in clinic at Romsey rather than the midwife in our GP surgery. Trish was brilliant and was with me for the birth - had intended to be at home, but ... view full version

I still have 2 months to go with my second pregnancy, and have been dissapointed that I have not seen the same midwife twice during my whole pregnancy. There has been no continuity of care in the community at all!

Many many thanks for such superb maternity care. My second son was born happily and healthily at home in March 2010. I saw the same Midwife, Ailsa Potter, throughout my pregnancy and luckily she was available to deliver the baby, too. This ... view full version

Our daughter was born Aug 2008 after a 2 1/2 hour natural breech delivery at 36 weeks. The care we received on that day was amazing, I had total confidence and trusted my Midwife (Andi) and Consultant which took away all my worries about ... view full version
