Cambridge parents have the most choice about where to have their babies

The MSLC is delighted to see that research published in October by the National Childbirth Trust has shown that Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire top the country with regard to making choice about where to have their baby available to parents. The research showed that all parents in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire have both an obstetric unit and a birth centre within half an hour's drive (for 95% of parents in the UK, this is not the case), and that the home birth rate is more than twice the national average.
